Continuous Medical Education, 2023

A Continuous Medical Education was held on the topic of Deceased Organ Donation on the 30th of September, 2023 at CN Centre Auditorium, Gauhati Medical College & Hospital. Many distinguished medical personalities graced the occasion along with the Guest of Honour, Dr. Siddharth Singh, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Dept. of Medical Education & Research, Dr. Achyut Ch. Baishya, Principal, GMCH, Dr. Abhijit Sarma, Superintendent, GMCH cum Nodal Officer – ROTTO Guwahati, Dr. G. Swarnalatha, Prof. Hod, Dept. of Nephrology, I/C Jeevandan Telangana along with various HoD’s from GMCH. The objective of the event was to introduce the subject of Deceased Organ Donation and the procedures related to it, as well as to discuss the way forward to successfully organise the Deceased organ transplantation.
