The ROTTO Guwahati team joined the Saathbhoni Foundation at Pragati Sangha, Lokhra, Guwahati on 22.05.2025. Our mission was to highlight the critical importance of organ donation and its potential to save lives and bring hope to countless families.

ROTTO guwahati proudly joined Bortari Anchalik High School, Rampur, Chaygaon on 13.06.2025 in raising awareness about Deceased Organ Donation & the vital role of law enforcement! This unique program highlighted the types & importance of organ donation among the students and teachers of the school.

ROTTO (GMC&H) Guwahati team had a fruitful day spreading the word about organ donation among the local community at Bishnu Rabha Udyan, Odalbakra, Guwahati!

A review meeting was held on 30.06.2025 (Monday) with all the private hospitals from the city of Guwahati regarding streamlining the process of organ donation, BSD certification and deceased transplantation.

ROTTO Guwahati organised awareness activity campaigns in various private hospitals and nursing colleges.

Gauhati Medical College & Hospital, Guwahati, Assam, in collaboration with ROTTO Guwahati, has accomplished a milestone by completing successful cadaveric kidney transplantation on 08/06/2024. This transplantation adhered to all essential protocols mandated for such procedures and hence carried out a successful cadaveric transplantation in Assam.

ROTTO Guwahati embarked on a noble mission to harness the festive spirit for the cause of organ donation awareness during Durga Puja.

A talk show on Organ Donation & Transplantation was telecasted live on Doordarshan Guwahati on the 16th of October, 2023.

"Cyclothon"was held on 16th February, 2019 from Gauhati Medical College Hospital Auditorium covering 25 kilometer roadway organised by Junior Doctor Association of Gauhati Medical College hospital in collaboration with Regional Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation to create awareness among the people regarding Deceased Organ Donation in our society.

Regional Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (ROTTO) is a Regional Level Organisation set up in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. ROTTO would function as a main centre in North East India under NOTTO (National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation) for activities of coordination and networking for procurement, distribution and transplantation of organs and tissues.
